Ground squirrels are being poisoned in the Shadelands Industrial area in Walnut Creek and other open space areas in Contra Costa County. Poisoning is indiscriminate and kills other species including Rabbit, fox, opossum, skunk, song birds, hawks and owls.
At this meeting we will discuss this threat to local urban wildlife and how we can work with local city and county agencies, along with businesses to implement an enlightened approach to protecting and enjoying our wildlife resource.
